The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has said it would still conduct the 2013 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) scheduled at the end of the month. The board was reacting to reports that the Stephen Oronsaye’s white paper had recommended the agency scrap the examinations. A statement by JAMB’s spokesman Fabian Benjamin said the process of scrapping UTME would “go through due process before becoming a law.” Benjamin said the board was a responsible and responsive organization not aversed to innovation, changes and government policies skewed to improve the lot of the sector. He however said the 2013 UTME slated for April 27 would take place as scheduled. For details of the examination dates click HERE
